Job Summary and key responsibilities
The Finance Integration Associate supports the delivery of finance integration activities for newly acquired businesses. Reporting to the Finance Integration Lead, this role is responsible for the hands-on execution of defined integration tasks, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with group policies, and alignment with integration plans.
This role is primarily execution-focused and provides an opportunity to develop experience across the full acquisition lifecycle within a fast-paced, private equity-backed environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Acquisition & Integration
Execute defined tasks within finance integration plans for newly acquired businesses
Support delivery of post-acquisition reviews through data gathering and process documentation to support understanding of existing finance processes, systems, and team structures
Work under direction of the Finance Integration Lead to deliver Day 1–100 activities
Support the onboarding of acquired finance teams to Group systems and processes
Accounting & Reporting
· Prepare and process accounting entries for acquired businesses from acquisition date until full integration
· Support monthly management accounts preparation and reconciliation for acquisitions
· Ensure accurate alignment with Group chart of accounts and accounting policies
· Assist with financial reporting, including variance analysis vs acquisition budgets
Financial Control, Governance & Risk
Document, review, and help strengthen financial controls and processes in newly acquired entities
Support the Finance Integration Lead in identifying gaps or risks in accounting or reporting processes
Assist in cash management and banking transitions, ensuring oversight of acquisition bank accounts
Systems & Data Integration
Support data migration from acquired businesses into Group systems
Ensure completeness, accuracy, and integrity of migrated financial data
Assist in testing and validating reporting in Group finance systems
Stakeholder Management
Work closely with the Finance Integration Lead, Acquisitions Team, and Group Finance to deliver integration tasks
Build effective working relationships with finance teams in acquired businesses to ensure smooth handover
Provide support for ad-hoc requests from the integration team
Continuous Improvement
Help maintain the acquisition integration checklist and playbook
Suggest process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and control
Contribute to a repeatable, structured approach for future acquisitions
What are we looking for:
Essential
Hands on experience of acquisition integration
ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified.
Able to plan and prioritise
Strong Excel and accounting fundamentals
Exposure to management accounts / audit / transactional finance
Good written and oral communication skills
Desirable
Able to communicate at all levels
Prior integration experience, or at least system implementation experience
Experience of D365 accounting system
Knowledge of property market and associated services
