Boyer Design, part of Boyer is a RIBA chartered practice. We are seeking an experienced Design Director to lead and grow our Design service in the Wales and West. In this highly strategic role, you will drive business development, be responsible for revenue generation, recruitment and growing the team as well as shape the creative direction of projects. The role will provide the opportunity to work with the Head of Design, Head of Wales and West and other senior Directors in shaping regional and national business growth and direction.
Job Summary and key responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Design, you will contribute to the delivery of significant projects involving strategic masterplanning, concept design, layouts, design documents and detailed planning applications.
What are we looking for:
Background Training - Degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering
Be an Associate Director/Director in an established design practice or developer in the UK
Have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the UK residential industry
Have a demonstrable track record of consented and delivered residential led projects in the Wales and West
Have a demonstrable client following and reputation in the Wales and West
Have excellent knowledge of local authorities in the Wales and West
Demonstrate at least 5 years’ experience of leading teams and mentoring staff
Demonstrate excellent experience of financial management
Be motivated and relentless in shaping the vision to continue to grow a highly successful Design presence in the Wales and West
