Hours: Monday to Thursday from 8:30am to 6pm, Fridays from 8:30 to 5:30pm. Saturdays are currently setup on a rota of 1 in 4, from 10am to 4pm.

Job Summary and Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Protection Specialist to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, compliant advice on a comprehensive range of protection products, helping clients safeguard their financial future. Working with warm leads generated through Mortgage Scout and LRG estate agency partners, you will build long-term client relationships while delivering exceptional service and consistently achieving business targets.
Duties will include:
Provide expert, fully compliant advice and recommendations on a broad range of protection products, ensuring solutions are tailored to each client's individual needs and circumstances.
Arrange and manage pure protection business, including life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection and family income benefit, from initial enquiry through to policy completion.
Build, develop and maintain a strong client base through leads introduced by Mortgage Scout and LRG estate agency partners, whilst identifying opportunities for repeat business and referrals.
Deliver an exceptional customer experience by maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, advice quality and regulatory compliance throughout the customer journey.
Maximise protection sales opportunities by proactively engaging with clients, identifying protection needs and educating customers on the importance of financial protection.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Mortgage Scout advisers, estate agency colleagues and other internal departments to encourage collaboration and maximise lead generation.
Work closely with your dedicated administrator to ensure applications are processed efficiently, proactively managing cases from submission through to policy commencement ("on risk") while keeping clients informed throughout.
Liaise with insurers, underwriters and third-party providers to resolve queries and ensure the timely progression of cases.
Maintain accurate client records and documentation in accordance with FCA regulations and company procedures.
Consistently achieve and exceed individual sales, quality and compliance targets while contributing to wider team objectives.
Keep up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes and product knowledge to ensure advice remains current and compliant.
Skills required:
Fully CeMAP qualified (or equivalent recognised qualification).
Proven experience as a Protection Adviser, with a strong track record of advising on and arranging a wide range of protection products.
Demonstrable experience arranging multi-benefit protection solutions, including but not limited to:
Life Assurance
Level and Decreasing Critical Illness Cover
Income Protection
Family Income Benefit
Excellent knowledge of the protection market, products and FCA regulatory requirements.
Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage a busy pipeline of business.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and long-lasting relationships with clients, introducers and colleagues.
Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales, quality and performance targets within a customer-focused environment.
A proactive and commercially driven approach to business development and lead conversion.
Ability to work collaboratively with estate agency teams, mortgage advisers and internal departments to maximise business opportunities.
Professional, adaptable and self-motivated, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
Experience working in a fast-paced, high-performance sales environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high compliance standards.
The successful applicant will be subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
